STONE COLD HUSTLE

Formed on the frontline of Bristol’s renowned jam scene, SCH features seven of the city’s very best musicians. Channeling 70s era P-Funk grooves with the sex and swagger of neo soul artists such as D’Angelo and Eliza, they make music for the singular purpose of good times.

Since beginning in 2021, the group has earned themselves a reputation as one of the city’s hottest live acts for starting the party and keeping it rolling. During this short space of time they’ve performed on main stages at UK festivals, supported Fred Wesley and played at Soho’s famous Pizza Express Jazz Club.

“You HAVE to see this band live!!!”
Adam Crowther (BBC Bristol)

The poobahs

The Poobahs play music they love in a variety of genres, ranging from western swing to celtic fiddle tunes; from tex-mex to Dartford delta blues. The members of the band are certainly qualified to cover all those bases with Dave Luke's warm vocals and understated guitar, John Hymas's rich violin and lively accordion, all underpinned by Clovis Phillips's dextrous but tasteful bass and Dave Kirk's solid, subtle percussion. For this event will be playing their get down and boogie Rock and Roll party set.

HONDDU

Honddu (honn-thee) warp their catchy melodies via a 90s tape machine found in a skip.

Honddu is Holly Müller and David Neale, a neuro-divergent couple who met in a Feminist Literature lecture. They create a spectrum of exhilarating atmospheres and irresistible melodies using synths, voice and violin. Their music has been compared to Portishead and Kate Bush and influences include Jenny Hval, PJ Harvey and Broadcast.

Holly’s voice is compelling and emotional, her lyrics full of stories, and David creates a warm, idiosyncratic analogue sound, sometimes delicate, sometimes full of power.

“Pan-dimensional, sophisticated pop music. I love the graininess of this. I heard this for the first time a couple of days ago and it's been haunting the very empty and dusty vaults of my brain ever since. It's excellent.”
Adam Walton (BBC Radio Wales)
